Blue Synergy strengthens its position in Horizon Europe Clusters 5 and 6 through strategic networking

During January, the Blue Synergy team actively participated in several high-level networking and matchmaking events in preparation for the upcoming Horizon Europe calls, with a particular focus on Cluster 5 (Climate, Energy and Mobility) and Cluster 6 (Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment). These activities are part of Blue Synergy’s ongoing strategy to support the development of competitive, impact-driven European research and innovation proposals.

Institutions, companies, and research organisations currently preparing proposals under these clusters are invited to connect with Blue Synergy—especially where sustainability assessment, social sciences and humanities (SSH), and impact-related tasks play a central role in the project concept.

Active participation in key Horizon Europe events

As part of these efforts, Patricio Cano, Sustainability Engineer at Blue Synergy, participated online in the Greenet brokerage event for the HE CL5 2026 Calls, an event designed to foster collaboration around forthcoming Cluster 5 topics.

In parallel, German Cavero, Operations Manager at Blue Synergy, attended two major Horizon Europe events in Brussels, Belgium: the Horizon Europe on-site Matchmaking for Cluster 6 – Calls 2026 and the Horizon Europe Info Days – Cluster 6. These in-person meetings enabled direct engagement with potential consortium partners, European initiatives, and project coordinators active in Cluster 6 domains.

Insights, collaboration opportunities, and strategic alignment

Across all events, Blue Synergy explored collaboration opportunities for future Horizon Europe proposals while gaining valuable insights into the emerging priorities, expectations, and evaluation trends shaping the upcoming calls. These exchanges provided an important opportunity to listen to the research and innovation community, better understand consortium needs, and further align Blue Synergy’s sustainability and social impact expertise with the European Commission’s policy objectives.

Such events play a crucial role in building strong consortia, clarifying call-specific requirements, and ensuring that sustainability, impact, and risk considerations are robustly integrated from the earliest stages of proposal development.

Supporting high-quality and impactful Horizon Europe proposals

Blue Synergy would like to thank the event organizers for creating effective spaces for exchange, alignment, and collaboration. For the company, participation in these brokerage and information events represents a key step in continuing to support well-structured, credible, and impactful Horizon Europe projects.
