Blue Synergy Contributes Open-Access LCI Datasets to the Global LCA Data Access Platform
Blue Synergy has contributed to the Global LCA Data Access (GLAD) platform by sharing open-access Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) datasets developed within the framework of the EU-funded BIOSYSMO project. These datasets focus on Pump and Treat technology for contaminated groundwater remediation and aim to support greater transparency, accessibility and knowledge sharing in environmental sustainability assessments.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an essential tool for evaluating the environmental impacts associated with remediation technologies, helping researchers and technology developers identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental burdens. However, the availability of reliable and accessible inventory data remains an important challenge for conducting comprehensive assessments. By making these datasets publicly available, Blue Synergy seeks to facilitate further research and encourage the broader application of LCA methodologies in the environmental remediation sector.
This contribution reflects Blue Synergy’s commitment to open science, data transparency and sustainable technological development. Through its participation in BIOSYSMO, the company has supported the environmental and socio-economic assessment of innovative bioremediation solutions, contributing to a better understanding of their sustainability performance and potential for future implementation.
The datasets are now accessible through the GLAD platform, providing researchers, sustainability practitioners and other interested stakeholders with valuable information to support environmental assessments and advance the development of more sustainable remediation strategies.
